Urgent probe launched after 'spiking' at UK parliament bar

What happened?

COPS have launched an urgent probe after a "spiking" incident at Stranger's Bar in the Palace of Westminster on January 7 at around 6.30pm. A parliamentary researcher quickly sought help after suspecting her drink had been tampered with.

Investigation underway

Parliamentary security and bar staff were immediately alerted, and the Metropolitan Police have initiated an investigation. As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with the incident.

A UK Parliament spokesman confirmed the incident and stated that it has been reported to parliamentary security and is now being looked into by the Metropolitan Police Service. The victim is currently receiving support from officers as the investigation continues.
