Shock Poll Predicts Drastic Reduction in Tory Party Seats at General Election

Rishi Sunak's Tory Party Could Plummet to Just 98 MPs

A shocking poll has suggested that Rishi Sunak's Tory party could be reduced to a mere 98 Members of Parliament in the upcoming general election. The survey of 15,000 individuals paints a grim picture for the Conservative Party, indicating that they may be heading towards their worst electoral outcome in history.

Labour Party Forecasted for a 468 Seat Landslide

According to the Survation poll, Sir Keir Starmer's Labour Party is projected to secure a landslide victory with 468 seats. The forecast, conducted by Best for Britain, places Labour at 45% and the Tories at a mere 26%, potentially losing all seats in Scotland and Wales. The poll even suggests that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak could be at risk of losing his own seat to Labour, with a lead of less than 2.5 percentage points.

Reform UK's Support Surging Across the UK

Additionally, the poll reveals a surge in support for Reform UK across the UK, with the party poised to secure second place in seven constituencies. This worrying trend for the Tories is compounded by the fact that Tory rebels considering toppling Sunak before the election are met with significant opposition.

Voters Oppose Tory Rebels Toppling Sunak

62% of voters are against a change in leadership within the Conservative Party before the general election, while only 38% support such a move. Furthermore, a staggering 70% of Conservative voters believe that Rishi Sunak should lead the party into the election, despite trailing behind Labour by 21 points in the polls. However, a potential shift to Penny Mordaunt as leader could narrow this gap to 15 points, as suggested by think tank More in Common.
