A NEW Need for Speed game has been announced, and it will release less than two months from now.
Officially titled Need For Speed: Unbound, rumours about the upcoming game have been floating around since a new NFS game was said to be in development in 2019.

While it may seem that you’ve seen the upcoming game before, this is the first time it’s been officially revealed.
The trailer was originally meant to drop at 4pm UK time, but the company released it two hours early.
It will release for PlayStation 5 on December 2, forgoing a release on last generation platforms.
It is unknown why EA took so long to reveal Need for Speed: Unbound despite numerous leaks and rumours circulating about the game.
EA’s biggest game of the year, FIFA 23, released last week, so the company has been focusing a lot of effort in marketing the game up until now.
It’s being developed by Criterion games, the same studio that made Need for Speed: Heat.
Unbound is set in Lake Shore City, a fictional take on Chicago.
Promotional art shows two different drivers, and could mean the game includes character customisation. The characters also have a cel-shaded art style.
There are a variety of cars also shown off, with individual art on the outside, much like the customisable designs in Forza Horizon 5.
In-game you will be able to meet up with other players and show off your custom designs.
Unbound is heavily inspired by graffiti art and hip-hop aesthetics, and the soundtrack has been created by rapper A$AP Rocky.
As described in the trailer: “Race against time, outsmart the cops, and take on weekly qualifiers to reach The Grand, Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge.
“Pack your garage with precision-tuned, custom rides and light up the streets with your style, exclusive fits, and a vibrant global soundtrack that bumps in every corner of the world.”
It was also announced that those who preorder Unbound will be able to get three days early access to the game on November 29.
