Tory Leader Criticizes Stats

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch criticized the statistics, urging an end to what she referred to as the "conveyor belt to a precious British passport." She emphasized the country's inability to sustain the Labour Party's lenient approach to immigration.

Statistics and Projections

Research conducted by the Centre for Migration Control indicates that by 2035, one in four individuals residing in the UK will be a migrant. The Office for National Statistics predicts that the population will reach 75.36 million by the same year, with an estimated 18.2 million individuals born abroad.

The Centre for Policy Studies further reveals that up to two million migrants will be eligible for indefinite leave to remain, with projected costs of £234 billion to the economy. This amount, equivalent to £8,200 per household over several decades, underscores the significant impact of migration on public services and the economy.

Robert Bates from the Centre for Migration Control highlighted the strains that mass migration imposes on public services, emphasizing the undeniable challenges it presents.

In response to the findings, the Home Office clarified that the figures pertain to high levels of net migration under the previous government's administration.
