Meeting Cancelled Due to Grandstanding and Relitigating

During the parliamentary session, Sunak stated, "When it was clear that the purpose of a meeting was not to discuss substantive issues for the future, but rather to grandstand and relitigate issues of the past, it was inappropriate." He further emphasized the importance of keeping commitments once they are made.

Criticism of Sunak's Handling of Migration

Fresh statistics reveal that 740,000 people migrated to Britain last year. Sir Keir Starmer took the opportunity to criticize Sunak for failing to bring migration numbers down. Labour Accused of Wanting to Open Floodgates to Migrants

Tory MP Sir John Hayes accused the Labour Party of wanting to open the floodgates to millions of migrants, which would overwhelm struggling public services. He claimed that 1.3 million migrants over a two-year period would be a catastrophe for Britain and criticized those who oppose the government's "stop the boats" campaign.
