A FORMER Labour cabinet minister will be banned from the Commons for two days for bullying an aide.
Liam Byrne was found to have ostracised David Barker, who worked in his constituency office.
He ceased personal contact with him for five months and denied him access to his parliamentary IT account.
“It was bullying,” a report said.
Parliamentary Standards Commissioner Kathryn Stone said his behaviour was a “significant misuse of power”.
Birmingham Hodge Hill MP Mr Byrne, 51, said he was “profoundly sorry” for the distress caused.

He was part of Gordon Brown’s 2008-10 Cabinet.
The GMB union said he had shown a complete lack of respect.
Labour said it backed the sanction.
