BORIS Johnson today admitted he DID mislead the Commons about illegal parties in Downing Street – but insists he did so unknowingly and in “good faith”.
The bombshell revelation came in a 52-page dossier the ex-PM submitted to the Privileges Committee, who are investing whether he deliberately misled Parliament.

In the document Boris says: “I accept that the House of Commons was misled by my statements that the rules and guidance had been followed completely at No.10.
“But when the statements were made, they were made in good
faith and on the basis of what I honestly knew and believed at the
time.
“I did not intentionally or recklessly mislead the House.
“I would never have dreamed of doing so.”
The ex-PM argues there “is not a single document” that indicates he was knew social distancing rules were being breached at the boozy dos.

“It is no secret that Dominic Cummings bears an animus
towards me, having publicly stated on multiple occasions that he
wanted to do everything that he could to remove me from power.” the ex-PM said.
“He cannot be treated as a credible witness.”
