XBOX revealed an all-new console during the Xbox Games Showcase.

The all-new console is an upgrade on Xbox’s cheaper console the Xbox Series S.
The main upgrade is that it will now come with a 1TB SSD which brings it in line with the memory capacity of the more expensive Xbox Series X.
As more people switch to purchasing digital games, the capacity of the Xbox Series S has become an issue.
The current model has only 364GB of free space, which is not a lot when it comes to modern games.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is around 150GB in size, and the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is expected to be around 200GB.
As game sizes get bigger, players are often juggling what they have on their consoles.
While save data can remain on your console, you can often spend hours redownloading a game you haven’t played in a while.
The new memory size will mean that players will more than double the available space up to 802GB.
This will give far more room for gamers to store games, while the console will remain at the usual compact Series S size.
While the memory is bigger, the Series S will still not have as much processing power as the Series X.
It will also not come with a disc-drive, meaning that you cannot play physical games.
To differentiate it from the original Series S, it now comes in a new colour, Carbon Black.
It will also come with a black controller as the standard.
The price will be $349 (approximately £280) which is only slightly more expensive than the standard model.
Those who are interested can pre-order their new console now, ready for when it is released on September 1, 2023.
