SEGA, best known for iconic games like Sonic the Hedgehog and the Persona series, has announced a new addition to its lineup with a nostalgic twist on classic strategy simulations.
A New Twist on Management Sims
Two Point Museum, the latest game in the Two Point series following Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus, offers players the chance to manage their very own museum. Unlike traditional management sims that focus on money management, Two Point Museum introduces a unique twist.
Exploration and Collection
In Two Point Museum, players must explore the world to find new artifacts for their museum. Rather than simply buying exhibits, players will need to participate in expeditions to discover ancient artifacts and bring them back to showcase. This adds a new layer of gameplay to the management simulation genre.
A Different Approach
Design director Ben Huskins explains the inspiration behind the game's shift from traditional money management: "We really like the idea of building up an awesome thing, but not being able to just buy everything. You have to build up these collections by going on expeditions, so you feel quite attached to your collection."
Unique Player Experience
One of the most striking aspects of Two Point Museum is the individuality it allows players in designing their museums. Despite being given the same tools, each player's museum looks different, offering a personalized gameplay experience.
Coming Soon
While no release date has been announced yet, the preview of Two Point Museum suggests a departure from the previous games in the series. Players can expect a fresh take on the management sim genre with this upcoming title.
