MINECRAFT has announced new features for its update 1.20, including a new biome.
One of the most highly anticipated aspects of the Minecraft update is the new archeology system, which will let you uncover historic bones and eggs.
The new biome.
These eggs can hatch into a Sniffer, a new mob that will be introduced.
The Sniffer was decided on by popular vote last year, and these tortoises can dig up seeds for interesting new plants.
But archeology and historic animals are not the only exciting things coming in the next update.
The update will introduce a whole new region called the Cherry Blossom biome.
As you might expect, the whole biome is filled with Cherry Blossom trees, making the area a gorgeous pink.
You can use the saplings to transport the trees outside of the biome.
The wood is also usable for crafting and building various different items.
There is no current release date for update 1.20, but you can test the new additions from Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the Snapshot
The Cherry Blossom biome will only be available for the Java edition, and will come to Bedrock later.
Here’s everything you need to know to play the upcoming Snapshot.
