Fans Spot 'Lookalike' in GTA 6 Trailer
A man named Lawrence Sullivan, also known as the Florida Joker due to his distinctive face tattoos, is demanding that Rockstar Games compensate him for allegedly using his likeness in the highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans of the franchise went into a frenzy when they noticed a character in the game's trailer who bears a striking resemblance to Sullivan.
Virality and Legal Battle
In 2017, Sullivan's mugshot went viral after he was arrested by Miami police for allegedly pointing a gun at passing cars. Taking to TikTok, Sullivan accused Rockstar of copying his face and demanded the company pay him millions for using his likeness in the game. However, commenters were quick to point out that this is not the first time someone has tried to sue the gaming company over alleged similarities.
Previous Lawsuit and Dismissal
Actress Lindsay Lohan previously accused Rockstar of using her likeness in Grand Theft Auto V. In a lawsuit that began in 2014, Lohan claimed that the game developers modeled her physical features, including her clothing, shoulder-length blonde hair, and voice. However, the court dismissed her claims in 2016.
TikTok Commenters Weigh In
Commenters on TikTok also suggested that DC Comics could potentially sue Sullivan for copying the appearance of the Batman villain, Joker, with his tattoos. Some users pointed out the similarities and urged DC to take action against Sullivan.
