Legendary Pokémon Raid
Pokémon fans, get ready for one of the biggest updates ever! While we wait, there are some exciting things you can do in the Pokémon world. One of them is taking on the difficult legendary raids to catch powerful Pokémon. Dialga and Palkia have made their appearance in the game, and you won't want to miss out on the chance to add them to your collection.
Raid Release Times
Dialga is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, while Palkia can be caught in Pokémon Violet. If you want to catch both, you'll either need to connect with someone who has the opposite game version or participate in online raids. These legendary dragons will be available for two weeks, starting on Friday, December 8, 2023, and ending on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Don't wait too long, as there's no guarantee they'll come back!
Move Sets and Abilities
Dialga and Palkia are both five-star raids with the Telepathy ability and the Dragon-tera type. Dialga opens the fight with Trick Room, making slower Pokémon move first, and Stealth Rocks, which can damage you if your Pokémon gets knocked out. After the barrier breaks, Dialga will set up Iron Defense, halving the damage of physical moves. Palkia, on the other hand, starts with Gravity to ensure accuracy for its powerful attacks, followed by Rain Dance to boost the strength of Hydro Pump. Prepare your team accordingly!
Raid Counter
If you're looking for a Pokémon that can take down both Dialga and Palkia solo, Azumarill is your best bet. This Pokémon is immune or resistant to many powerful attacks and is only hit neutrally by Steel Beam. Azumarill's Belly Drum move can maximize your attack, and equipping a Shell Bell will help you regain health. Just be cautious of Dialga's Steel Beam once it terastylises. If you have a partner, adding a supportive Azumarill to your team will make these fights even easier. Consider using Rain Dance against Dialga and Mud-Slap to lower accuracy against both opponents.
