Fans shocked as Nintendo announces June Direct presentation – here’s how to watch

NINTENDO has announced a June Nintendo Direct presentation that’s set to show off all-new games tomorrow.

The Nintendo Direct will last for roughly 40 minutes, and is set to show off games coming to the Nintendo Switch, with a focus on games releasing this year.

Fans shocked as Nintendo announces June Direct presentation – here’s how to watch
Many are hoping for news on Metroid Prime 4, which was announced almost six years ago

Nintendo says the Direct will also feature new information for Pikmin 4, which is an upcoming adventure strategy game set to be released next month.

Not many other details are known, as Nintendo has no dated games for the Switch other than Pikmin 4, but fans have been heavily speculating about what could be included.

One idea that seems to be popular among fans is the inclusion of a release date for the first wave of DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Two expansions were announced for the games in February, and the first wave is expected to be released before the end of the year.

Some fans have also speculated that DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be announced, due to the popularity of the game.

Another possible inclusion is Metroid Prime 4, which was announced in 2017 but restarted development four years ago in 2019.

The Nintendo Direct will also feature games from third-party developers like Square Enix, Sega, and Ubisoft, although it’s unsure what games could be shown.

Leaks have suggested Persona 3 Reload, a remake of the original game, could be announced for Switch during the show.

How and when to watch the June 2023 Nintendo Direct

The June 2023 Nintendo Direct will take place at 3pm UK time tomorrow, on June 21, 2023, and will last for roughly 40 minutes.

As with all Nintendo Direct presentations, the show will be streamed live across a number of different streaming platforms.

Fans can watch the Nintendo Direct on Nintendo UK’s Twitch page and its YouTube page — the Twitch stream is typically ahead of the YouTube stream by about 30 seconds.

Nintendo UK typically also tweets out announcements live as they happen on its official Twitter page, for those who can’t watch it live.
