TWO events headline this week in Pokémon Go, with both ending on Sunday.
New Shadow Pokémon can be found everywhere, as Team Rocket takes over and Giovanni returns.
The Solstice event is also taking place with the Rocket Takeover.
An interesting new cup comes to the Go Battle League that will have some cool team combinations.
Here’s everything that’s happening in Pokémon Go from June 19 to June 25.
Sunkern take the spotlight
This week’s Spotlight Hour will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 6pm local time.
Sunkern, the pre-evolution of Sunflora, will be the target of Spotlight Hour this week.
This Pokémon will appear more commonly in the wild, with a higher shiny rate, and you will need 50 candy in order to evolve one.
There will also be 2x candy for any Pokémon transferred during this hour, so it’s time to stock up.
Nihilego takes on raids
Raid Hour will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 6pm local time.
Nihilego, the Poison-/Rock-type Ultra Beast will remain in five-star raids for another week.
These raids will be more plentiful in Raid Hour, where it can be found in every gym.
Like Nihilego, Mega Sceptile will remain in raids for another week.
Mono-types reign at the Go Battle League
The Go Battle League will change on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 9pm UK time.
The Ultra League with a maximum limit of 2.5k CP will stay for another week.
It will be paired with the Single-type cup, which has a limit of 1.5k CP.
As the name suggests you are only allowed to enter Pokémon that don’t have a dual typing like Charizard’s Fire-/Flying-type.
Two Pokémon will be banned from this; Cresselia, and Defense Forme Deoxys.
Solstice Horizons & Rocket Go Takeover ends
These events will be available all week and will end on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Wild encounters will be split, with different Pokémon available depending on the time of day.
Giovanni is also back during the Rocket Takeover, and his ace this time is his Shadow Regirock.
Eggs hatched this week will be mostly Dark-type to fit with the Rocket theme.
