Bayonetta 3 farming — how to farm halos to buy all costumes

BAYONETTA 3 has three kinds of currency, and one of the hardest to find are the halos.

These are used to unlock items for the chapter select screen, as well as concept art and figures you can view in the World of Bayonetta menu.

Golden lights mean halos

Most importantly they allow you to unlock costumes for both Bayonetta and Viola, as well as additional colours they can come in.

However, Halos can only be obtained in certain kinds of battles making them difficult to find.

Here’s the best methods for farming Halos in Bayonetta 3.

Equip the Mallet of Rewards

Just like with lotuses the Mallet of Rewards will increase the amount of Halo’s you earn when finishing a battle.

However, unlike lotuses, you know when a fight that rewards halos is about to start, so you can change your equipment right beforehand.

This will help a lot if you are playing on higher difficulty settings, which you should be if you want to get as many halos as possible.

Head for the golden lights

There are a number of hidden verses throughout Bayonetta and many of them reward you with halos.

The golden lights all give out halos as a reward.

All chapters have at least one of these hidden verses, but Chapters 6, and 7 have two each.

Extra chapters for extra halos

Once you collect all of the Umbral Tears for a chapter, you unlock a side challenge.

Many of these have angels in them which will give halos as a reward.

Make sure you collect the Tears in Chapter 3 to unlock this Phenomenal Remnant, which can be completed over and over.

This is probably the quickest way to get halos.

Repeat Chapter 9

You can start Chapter 9 from the Treasure Room, which is a room with halos all over the floor.

Dashing across these will collect lots of halos quickly, and it rewards you with them every time you do so.

You have to finish the chapter off to keep your rewards, but it’s so close to the end that it’s not too much of a hassle.

Jeanne’s mini-game

Halos are given as a reward in Jeanne’s mini-game, which you can play through Rodin’s shop.

If you are very good at it, you can win big, but you have to spend lotuses in order to play.

This isn’t the most effective method, and the ones above are more likely to see you get rich.
