THOUSANDS of people got boosted at football stadiums yesterday as the Omicron variant crisis caused more games to be cancelled.
A whopping 817,625 boosters were recorded over the course of the day.


Fans heading to Elland Road for the Premier League’s only surviving fixture of Leeds United v Arsenal got a jab at the ground’s vaccine centre.
Down in London, carol singers entertained people waiting for a jab at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic.
The 1-0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle was the only dampener for the Charlton fans who received their vaccination.

And a long queue formed outside the famous Shed End at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.
Blues fan Chris White, 27, was one of the many who gratefully got their booster from NHS staff at the ground.
Meanwhile, punters at Chelmsford City Racecourse in Essex got jabbed before having a flutter on the horses.
