FUN-loving Brits eager to party have hit the town for a night of festive boozing before Plan B Covid restrictions hit.
Revellers have been snapped dressed to the nines as they braved the cold for rowdy Christmas gatherings.
With the big day just two weeks away, many decided to don garish Christmas jumpers while others rocked Santa hats.
Groups of party-goers were pictured beaming and laughing as they hit high streets in Newcastle, Birmingham, Leeds and beyond.
A few were seen looking worse for wear as one lad was propped up by his pals – with all three wearing suitably festive attire.
But their night of fun comes just days before Plan B Covid restrictions are rolled out across the country – with vaccine passports to be mandatory for larger venues such as nightclubs.
The introduction of Covid passes will mean those who have not been fully jabbed will not be able to enter indoor venues with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor venues with more than 4,000 people and any venue with more than 10,000 people from Wednesday.
Plan B measures also include compulsory mask-wearing in most public indoor settings, as well as guidance for employees to work from home where they can in order to stem transmission.
But the Boris Johnson’s decision to trigger Plan B restrictions has been met with fury from members of his own party – with PM facing the largest rebellion of his premiership as more than 60 Tory MPs are against extra measures being imposed.
Former Cabinet ministers David Davis, Esther McVey, Dr Liam Fox and Greg Clark are among those who have hit out at the scaling-up of restrictions.

Mr Clark, a former business secretary, said the Government had “jumped the gun” in choosing to act before more was known about the impact Omicron could have on hospital admissions.
Former trade secretary Dr Fox, speaking in a debate in the Commons, said it was “difficult to justify these extra measures”.
It comes after it was reported Sajid Javid has been told to trigger unpopular Plan C restrictions within a WEEK by gloomy health officials.
The Health Secretary was allegedly told by doom-mongers at the UK Health and Security Agency that Omicron risks overwhelming the NHS as 5,000 Brits could be admitted to hospital a day.
Mr Javid was allegedly told that “stringent national measures” need to be imposed by 18 December to avoid surpassing last year’s winter peak.
