Jeremih reveals he ‘had to learn to walk and eat again’ after spending over a month in the hospital in Covid battle

JEREMIH Smith has opened up on the devastating covid-19 virus, admitting his month in the hospital was “messed up”.

The singer was diagnosed in late 2020 and friends shared the news on social media, with the R&B singer reportedly placed on a breathing ventilator in the ICU.

Jeremih had to relearn how to walk and eat after his battle with coronavirus

Speaking on Tuesday, Jeremih revealed: “What I can say is: man, it definitely is real. I didn’t take it for granted. And truth be told … I’m a living, walking testimony.

“I was really down bad for the last month and a half while I was in there. You know, I don’t even remember the day I went in. That’s how messed up it was.”

Appearing on Sway In The Morning, he continued: “I had the tube down my throat for about a week and a half.

“I was really, like, in a dream. And I ain’t gonna lie, I woke up about two times and all I remember is just seeing a white light.”

He admitted he hardly remembers his time in the hospital

During his battle with the deadly virus, he said his organs became “inflamed” and his “heart stopped beating.”

During recovery, he then had to “learn how to walk again, eat, all that stuff.”

“I look at it as kind of somewhat of a blessing now, as crazy as it might sound,” Jeremih said. “I needed to sit down.”

However, he said: “Mind you, I didn’t know what was going on at the time. I was out.”

Rappers 50 Cent and Chance the Rapper both took to social media asking for prayers for Jeremih’s recovery.
