Home Bargains has been allowed to remain open throughout lockdown

Essential shops were classed as retailers that sold essentials such as food and toilet roll.

But now, all shops can open.

Non-essential retailers were given the green light to reopen last Monday (April 12) as England moved into stage two of Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.

But what time does Home Bargains open today? We explain all you need to know.

What time is Home Bargains open?

Home Bargains stores are typically open 8am to 8pm every day, but opening times can vary so make sure you double-check this in advance.

The retailer has 500 shops across the UK. Customers can find their nearest store by checking its online store finder tool.

Home Bargains is prioritising the first opening hour for vulnerable and elderly customers, so keep this in mind before heading down.

This is happening every day until further notice.

What safety measures are in place?

To keep customers and workers staff, Home Bargains has introduced a string of safety measures including plastic screens at tills.

It’s also limiting the number of customers permitted into each store at any one time.

If a store reaches its limit, a staff member will ask you to queue outside until there’s space.

Home Bargains is also urging customers to shop alone wherever possible and to pay by card, although cash payments are still accepted.

It’s also rolled out sanitising stations to all stores to allow you to sanitise your hands and the handles of your baskets and trolleys.

Can I order from Home Bargains online?

Yes, products are available to order from the Home Bargains website for home delivery as normal.

Home Bargains charges £3.49 to deliver small items or £7.99 for large products.

The retailer has temporarily removed its click and collect service, and it’s not clear when it’ll return.
