Cutting-edge treatment has helped Alyssa, 13, into remisson
Now mum Kiona, the cousin of fashion guru Gok Wan, said they are “on cloud nine” as Alyssa is in remission, thanks to treatment at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital in May.
Doctors gave her a cutting-edge treatment made of white blood cells in a lab using gene editing.
Kiona said: “Hopefully this can prove the research works.”
Gok Wan, 48, raised nearly £54,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer last year by shaving his head live on This Morning.
