Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick stressed the importance of zero tolerance for individuals who abuse the privilege of a UK visa and endorse terrorist acts. He warned that visas would continue to be revoked wherever necessary and that extremism would not be tolerated on UK streets. Jenrick's intervention came after he wrote to police chiefs, highlighting the potential expulsion of foreign nationals caught glorifying banned terror groups.
Police on High Alert for Pro-Hamas Protesters
Following the October 7 attack, Scotland Yard has made over 100 arrests related to pro-Palestine demonstrations, including for supporting proscribed groups. With a planned march this weekend, officers will be on high alert for any protesters expressing support for Hamas. Over 1,850 Met Officers will be on duty on Saturday, which coincides with Armistice Day, and 1,375 on Sunday.
