Chief Whip Chris Heaton-Harris last night escalated the case to Westminster’s anti-sleaze committee.

Politicians of all parties have recoiled in horror and demanded action over the explosive claims first revealed by Trending In The News yesterday.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace demanded the porn ogler be banned from sitting as a Tory MP if the accusations are proven.

The Cabinet Minister told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “I certainly think they should lose the whip.”

He suggested the guilty party could be recalled by angry constituents demanding a by-election.

Safeguarding Minister Rachel Maclean said the MP should be “out of parliament, out of the party”.

Politicians have refused to name and shame him publicly but last night it is understood he has been identified.

Two disgusted female Tories made the explosive claim to the Chief Whip at a fiery meeting on Tuesday evening.

Mr Heaton-Harris has now referred the case to the Independent Grievance Complaints Scheme to probe.

Only witnesses are allowed to make a complaint, meaning the two women would have to officially lodge their claims.

The group who met on Tuesday is being dubbed the 2022 committee – a spin-off to the Tory backbench 1922.

Tory MPs were invited to discuss ways to keep more women in Parliament, but it quickly descended into sharing #MeToo stories.

One described facing sexist comments from their own colleagues because they were wearing a knee-length skirt.

One insider said: “A total can of worms was unleashed at the meeting.
“Around 14 MPs got up one after the other to describe their experiences – it was shocking. One MP was left in tears.

“They wanted the Chief Whip to find the man and kick him out of the party.”

The scandal has sparked a wider debate about the pervy culture in Westminster.

It comes just days after it was revealed three Cabinet ministers and two Labour frontbenchers have been accused of sexual misconduct.

Mr Wallace hit out at Parliament’s boozing culture and told his fellow MPs to spend less time in the Commons bars.
