Rishi Sunak, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, has fallen victim to a security breach after his personal mobile number was published online, according to Trending In The News. The personal mobile number that was published online is reported to be the same one that Rishi Sunak has used for many years, including during his tenure as Chancellor and the 2020 leadership election. Although it was believed that Sunak was given a new number when he assumed office a year ago, an online video that surfaced on Sunday suggests that his old number is still in use.

Last month, Sunak revealed that he was unable to provide certain WhatsApp messages to the Covid inquiry because he had not backed them up after changing phones multiple times. It remains to be seen whether this breach will have any impact on the ongoing investigation.

When approached for comment, Downing Street declined to address the security concerns surrounding the publication of Sunak's personal mobile number.
