Nigel Farage revealed as Britain's highest-earning MP

Nigel Farage's earnings

NIGEL Farage has been revealed as Britain’s highest-earning MP — making nearly £1.2 million a year from his GB News show. The Reform leader gets £97,928.40 a month for 32 hours of work, the MPs’ Register of Interests shows. In addition to this, he was paid £16,597.22 in July for personal video messages on Cameo. All this is on top of his MP for Clacton salary of £91,346 a year.

Sir Keir Starmer's perks

Meanwhile, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer received various gifts and perks including tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, work clothes, pairs of glasses, Jingle Bell Ball tickets, National Theatre show tickets, and Arsenal season tickets worth almost £20,000.

Other MPs and their benefits

Labour deputy Angela Rayner received designer clothes in June and stayed in a New York flat provided by Labour peer Waheed Alli. Ex-PM Rishi Sunak spent £11,496 on helicopters during the election campaign. Six Labour MPs received donations from striking rail union Aslef, with Chief of staff Sue Gray’s son also recording a donation.

Response from Farage and Labour

Last night, Nigel Farage clarified that the sum paid to him by GB News includes VAT and was paid to his company with significant expenses. A Labour spokesperson stated that all declarations are made in line with the rules.
