Moment eco-idiots ambush Sir Keir Starmer in major speech – as he slams ‘arrogant’ Just Stop Oil

ECO protesters ambushed Sir Keir Starmer during a major speech today – as he hit out at “arrogant” Just Stop Oil goons.

The Labour leader was interrupted by two youngsters from the Green Deal Rising group who demanded he reinstate a pledge for £28billion of annual climate funding.

The protesters had sneaked in with the college students

They sneaked in among the college students standing right behind him and unfurled a banner before being bundled out by security.

Later Sir Keir – who was unveiling his “fifth” mission for government – lashed out at Just Stop Oil after the militant mob invaded courts at Wimbledon this week.

He has faced questions over his links to the rabble after accepting donations from one of their major bankrollers Dale Vince.

But he blasted: “I just think they need to just stop. Particularly this last week, they’ve been interrupting iconic sporting events, causing massive disruption.

“There’s a huge arrogance involved, that they’re the only people that understand the argument, that their tactics are going to win.”

However he dodged questions on our revelations that the Welsh Labour government is “cooperating” with the Extinction Rebellion protest gang.

He also fuelled splits within the party after backing his Uxbridge by-election candidate agitating for a delay to Sadiq Khan’s Ulez expansion.

Sir Keir said Danny Beales was “right” to raise concerns at the Labour London Mayor’s tax on drivers.

And further infighting came when Sir Keir insisted there were no plans to scrap the two-child benefit cap despite welfare spokesman Jonathan Ashworth suggesting this could happen.

The Labour leader said: “Obviously that isn’t our policy and if that changes I’ll let you know.”

Top Scottish Labour MSP Monica Lennon raged it was an “abhorrent” policy and Sir Keir must commit to scrapping it.
