Old Frenemies Rekindle Friendship
Michael Gove and Boris Johnson, old friends from their days at Oxford University, are apparently repairing their broken relationship. After their highly publicized falling out last summer, Gove has revealed that he recently had a positive conversation with Johnson at a wedding. They discussed "life and the universe," Gove said.
Hopes for a Fully Restored Friendship
Gove believes that their friendship may only be fully restored once he leaves politics. He stated, "The thing about politics overall is it is easier when you are no longer in it as it were. I wouldn't want to make any predictions, but I suspect it will probably be easier for me and Boris to have a longer chat when I'm no longer a minister."
Could Boris Make a Political Comeback?
When asked about the possibility of Boris Johnson returning to the frontline of British politics, Gove replied, "You can never ever predict what Boris will do in the future." This suggests that Johnson's political future remains uncertain, leaving the door open for a potential comeback.
