The overwhelming favourite to be the next PM has already vowed to make Volodymy Zelensky her first foreign call if she gets the top job.

As energy bills rocket as a result of Mad Vlad Putin’s evil invasion, ministers are worried that resolve to stand up to Russia could fracture.

A source close to Ms Truss told Trending In The News on Sunday: “Obviously Boris and Zelensky have a very close personal relationship.

“But our relationship with Ukraine is so important it transcends one person.

“It is very high up her agenda.”

Liz has a very close relationship with Ukraine’s foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

She had been planning a trip to the war-torn country while she was Foreign Secretary, but did not get it over the line before Bojo’s sudden fall from power.
