LABOUR aim to cash in on the tax scandal over Rishi Sunak’s wife by ending non-dom status.
Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves will today announce proposals forcing people living in Britain to pay tax here.
Ms Reeves said: “It simply isn’t right that those at the top can benefit from outdated non-dom tax perks.”
Non-doms do not pay UK tax on money they earn overseas — even if they live here full-time.
Labour said it will replace non-dom status with a scheme for people who are living in the UK for only short stints.
