A LABOUR MP has claimed more than £700 in expenses for flash kit to use on social media.

Corbynite MP Zarah Sultana spent the cash on an LED light ring, a Canon camera and professional microphone.

The MP for Coventry South has amassed more than 100,000 followers on TikTok and over 86,000 on Instagram.

She frequently produces high-quality clips for left wing online channel Double Down News.

The MP said the ­purchases were for constituency purposes but did not respond to a request to show examples of how they were used.

Pressure group the TaxPayers’ Alliance said: “Taxpayers will be concerned their money has been spent on an expensive influencer tool kit.”

The MP’s spokesman said: “This is absolutely within the rules.”
