A LABOUR civil war is raging over Ulez after Sir Keir Starmer scrambled to contain a voter backlash.
The party boss today said he was against slapping the London clean-air tax on drivers “in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis”.

He said there were “other ways of achieving” clean air which did not involve congestion zones.
Sir Keir has scrapped a pledge to roll out Ulez-style schemes across the country following Labour’s defeat in the Uxbridge by-election.
But earlier tonight, the capital’s mayor Sadiq Khan said he will continue with his expansion, despite pushback.
He told Times Radio: “I’m going to carry on listening to the concerns of Londoners.
“But we can’t kick the can down the road when it comes to addressing a public health emergency or tackling the climate emergency.”
Sir Keir’s decision to pull support for clean air zones was also panned by one of his biggest donors.
Ecotricity founder Dale Vince said he was “disappointed” by the decision.
Mr Vince is a Just Stop Oil supporter who has given £1.5million to Labour.
He told TalkTV politicians had “rushed to judge” that the Uxbridge result was due to driver despair.
