Gavin Williamson unfollows Boris Johnson on Instagram after being sacked as Education Secretary

SACKED Gavin Williamson has UNFOLLOWED Boris Johnson on Instagram in the ultimate stroppy revenge after being fired.

The axed Education Secretary was a constant “liker” of the PM’s posts before he was dispatched at last week’s brutal reshuffle.

Mr Williamson used to like most of his boss’s tweets, but now doesn’t appear to even follow him

Since then he hasn’t double-tapped a single one and appears to have unfollowed his old boss.

During his five years in government Mr Williamson relished his reputation as a master of the dark arts, famously keeping a tarantula called Cronus to spook rebellious MPs.

Yet he was ousted last week following a string of controversies during the pandemic such as the hated exam algorithm.

Just ahead of the Cabinet shake-up he also landed in hot water by confusing black sportsmen Marcus Rashford and Maro Itoje.

Announcing his departure Mr Williamson said it had been a “privilege” to serve as Education Sec and “looked forward” to supporting the PM from the backbenches.

But the South Staffordshire MP hasn’t liked any of the PM’s last 15 posts including the glittering array of snaps from his trip to New York this week.

Before he was kicked out of Cabinet he liked seven of the last 11 posts.

It’s an even bigger diss because Mr Johnson still follows Mr Williamson.

Mr Williamson is a frequent Instagram user and on Thursday posted a pic of him at a reception for Motor Neuron Disease sufferers.

He was approached for comment today.
