THE son of Labour’s Yvette Cooper and Ed Balls joined protesters to heckle education secretary Nadhim Zahawi at a university.
Warwick Uni student Joel Cooper, 20, joined the group accusing Zahawi of inciting hatred over comments on trans rights.
A video of the son of ex-cabinet minister Balls and shadow home secretary Cooper interrupting the minister to quiz him on his views on trans issues was shared online.
Other activists could be heard chanting “Tory scum” outside the lecture theatre during the event.
Zahawi later had to be escorted from the university campus by security guards while protesters with flags and placards followed him to his car.
The MP had been invited by the university’s conservative society to speak to its members.
