BRITAIN could suffer its first general strike in 100 years, a lawyer claims.
The RMT is threatening a three-day railway strike later this month.
But the Government is planning laws that could allow agency workers to cover during disputes.
It is illegal for workers to go on strike in support of others, although militants could get around it.
Bruce Carr QC, an expert on trade union tactics, said: “You could have a de facto national strike with different unions calling out different industries at the time.
“It’s not beyond the wit of trade unions.”

The last general strike was in 1926.
Labour shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves refused to back No10’s bid to curb the power of unions.
She told Sky News’ Sophy Ridge on Sunday: “Would you feel safe going on a train knowing that there was an agency worker rather than a properly-skilled and trained-up train signaller?”
