THE coronavirus public inquiry has asked to see Boris Johnson’s WhatsApp messages when he was Prime Minister.
Counsel for the inquiry Hugo Keith KC said thousands of documents used by the Government’s central decision-makers had been requested.

He said the inquiry wanted to see messages from a WhatsApp group which included the PM and No10 officials.
They will be used in the second phase of the inquiry, which is to begin next summer and will examine whether lives could have been saved by earlier lockdowns.
The first phase was opened in July.
