BORIS Johnson was straight back to work today after returning to Britain from his luxury Spanish hideaway.
The refreshed PM is leading his Cabinet at an away day in Bristol after a week in the Marbella sunshine.
He and wife Carrie spent around six nights at a luxury villa owned by Tory peer Zac Goldsmith in the popular holiday hotspot.
Last night Boris was spotted making a “fleeting” appearance at the launch of his dad Stanley’s new book.
Guests said the dishevelled PM, wearing an unbuttoned shirt and no tie, looked like he’d come straight from the airport.
During his break the PM imitated his hero Winston Churchill by painting in the grounds of the £25,000 a week villa.
Ministers defended the holiday, insisting Boris deserved a break and would come back refreshed.
And today the Cabinet will meet in Bristol amid growing concerns over the energy and supply crisis.
Transport secretary Grant Shapps admitted ministers can’t guarantee every line of every product will be available this Christmas.
He said: “We’ll all be able to be together, we’ll be able to buy things, there will be food on the table.
“I can’t guarantee that every line of every product will be available. We are in an international supply restrictive period.
“Goods and food will be available. Maybe a few lines that you normally want to get aren’t.
“But I think it’s at that level, rather than thinking Christmas will have to be cancelled and upsetting children everywhere across the country.
“There’s a lot of demand there, but I don’t think we want to sort of talk ourselves into a crisis either about it.”
Top of the agenda for ministers will be the Government’s long-awaited plan to phase out gas boilers.
New ones will be banned from 2035 under the proposals, due to be published as early as Monday.
Households will be given £5,000 grants for ground source heat pumps – but that only covers about half the cost.
Nobody will be forced to remove their existing gas boiler and the change will brought in “gradually”, according to The Telegraph.
