Here’s everything coming from the studio:

Yakuza Like a Dragon: Ishin!

The biggest announcement of the showcase was the remake of Yakuza Ishin, previously a Japanese-only PS3 exclusive.

First revealed during the PlayStation State of Play yesterday (September 13), Like a Dragon Ishin! is built from the ground up, similar to the studio’s Kiwami games.

Set in feudal Japan, it tells the story of the real-life group of samurai warriors known as the Shinsengumi.

Only this time they’re played by Yakuza staples such as Majima, Taiga, Akiyama, Joon-gi Han and Kiryu, who plays Japanese hero, Ryoma Sakamoto.

Ishin! will release on February 21, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam. Pre-orders are available now.

Judgment & Lost Judgment

The original game, Judgment, was first released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Despite coming out on other platforms since, it has remained console exclusive even after the sequel, Lost Judgment, launched last year.

From today (September 14), both games are now available on Windows PC via Steam

They can be purchased separately or bundled together, including DLC.

Yakuza Like a Dragon 8

We knew that an RPG sequel to Yakuza Like a Dragon was in development since the studio released some footage from a motion capture session.

However, it has now been officially announced with a 2024 release window.

We also know that Adachi, Nanba, and protagonist Ichiban Kasuga will all return for the sequel.

It’s also been confirmed for a number of platforms including: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man who Erased his Name – 2023

The most unexpected game to be announced from the studio was Gaiden: The Man who Erased his Name.

Gaiden’s story follows Kiryu after the events of Yakuza 6, and takes us through to the beginning of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Kiryu is living in hiding with a group of monks, and has now changed his name to Joryu.

However, the Yakuza find him and tell him he needs to return to work.

The developers also confirmed that the new story will be longer than a DLC side story – it’s a standalone game.

Gaiden: The Man who Erased his Name will release in 2022, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam.
