XBOX has just made a huge announcement that will change the way online players play.
From September 1, 2023, Xbox Live Gold will change, and online players will no longer have access to Games With Gold.
Halo is the series most people associate with Xbox.
In exchange, Live players will now instead receive at least 19 games alongside their online subscription called Xbox Game Pass Core.
Xbox has promised that there will be 25 games on the list in time for the service’s launch, but for now we only know the first 19.
Among the 19 are classic games from Xbox’s library that aren’t available on PlayStation consoles.
Gears 5 and Halo 5 are popular shooters from the Xbox library, which most Xbox players are familiar with.
Fable Anniversary is another Xbox exclusive, and a popular remake of the 2014 RPG.
Forza Horizon is Xbox’s popular series of racing games, for casual racing fans.
There are also other games on the list that are now owned by Xbox but that are also available on other systems, such as Fallout, Psychonauts and Elder Scrolls.
The library is rounded out by a number of popular big-budget games, including Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Dishonored 2, and Doom Eternal.
There is also a good selection of hugely successful indie games on the list, such as Among Us, Human Fall Flat, Inside, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
These games will act as a mini Game Pass library for players who subscribe at this cheapest tier.
There are currently over 400 games available as part of the Game Pass service so this selection is just a small slice of what’s on offer.
