Xbox Removes Five Games, Leaving Players Upset
Xbox players are expressing their anger and frustration as the platform removes five games this month. However, it is the removal of one highly rated game that has particularly upset players.
Popular Games GTA 5, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable Among Those Leaving Xbox Game Pass
Among the games being removed from Xbox Games Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate libraries on January 15, 2024, are the hugely popular GTA 5, which holds a 97 rating, and Persona 4 Golden, which has an 89 rating. Additionally, Persona 3 Portable, with a rating of 93, will also be leaving the subscription service.
GTA 5 Leaves Xbox Game Pass for Console on January 5
GTA 5, one of the most beloved and best-selling games of all time, will be leaving Xbox Game Pass earlier than the other titles. Its departure on January 5 has left fans disappointed and speculating about the reasons behind the decision.
GTA 5's Removal Possibly Linked to PlayStation's Addition of the Game to PS Plus
PlayStation recently announced that GTA 5 would be added to its subscription service, PS Plus, and the game was made available on December 19. This move may be the reason behind GTA 5's removal from Xbox Game Pass, as it is seen as a direct competition to Xbox's subscription service.
Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable Also Set to Leave Xbox Game Pass
In addition to GTA 5, Xbox players will also lose access to Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable. Both games are highly regarded and offer a unique blend of dungeon crawling and high school simulation.
