You’ll soon be able to use Game Pass no matter which PC or mobile device you use.

However, the upcoming move means that the subscription service will soon be available on more platforms than ever before.

Speaking to GLHF at a round table event following the Xbox Games Showcase, Xbox corporate vice president Sarah Bond called the decision a “wonderful complement” to what Xbox can do with native gameplay in its ecosystem.

Allowing PC Game Pass to come to Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud streaming service means that people on Mac will also be able to use the subscription.

Currently games must be played via the Windows Store, but the upcoming move will let those not using Windows OS to also play Xbox games on PC.

This will also extend to mobile platforms, such as Android and iOS, which aren’t currently supported.

Bond says: “That [the move to GeForce Now] is one of the reasons why we actually rolled out six partnerships this year with players who are working in that space and who are incubating in that area.”

These partnerships are related to the commitments that Xbox has made with a number of services to bring Xbox games to other devices and cloud platforms.

This decision was seen by many as trying to appease regulators discussing the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

However, it is apparently designed to increase the visibility of Xbox games on other platforms.

Bond says: “So we were just thrilled to add that next awesome, awesome benefit for PC Game Pass members.

“And it is all part of just our absolute commitment and long term strategy to bring together everybody who loves to play no matter how, where and on what device.”

There is no release date set for when Game Pass will be available on GeForce Now other than in the near future.

PC Game Pass doesn’t have as wide a selection of games as its console equivalent, but it will still likely encourage a lot more players to join.
