Xbox Game Pass Standard Players Left in the Dark with No New Games

Xbox Game Pass Standard Players Left in the Dark with No New Games

Xbox Game Pass for Console subscribers are in for a disappointment as they are transitioned to Xbox Game Pass Standard without any new game additions.

What's Happening?

Xbox recently unveiled the list of games coming to Game Pass in the second half of September 2024. However, there are only three games on the list, and they are all exclusive to PC and Ultimate members, leaving Standard players with no new content.

Pushing for Upgrades

Many speculate that Xbox is favoring higher-tier Ultimate subscriptions by offering limited perks to Standard players. The move comes after the announcement that nearly 50 Game Pass games will no longer be accessible to Standard subscribers.

FTC's Stance

The US Federal Trade Commission has criticized Xbox for treating Game Pass Standard as a "degraded product" and pushing Console players to switch to Ultimate for a similar gaming experience.

Looking at the Bright Side

While Standard players face a lack of new games, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers with high-end PCs can enjoy a small offering this month, including Wargroove 2 for consoles.
