Xbox announces free access to latest Call of Duty game on PC and console

Xbox has made an exciting announcement for gamers - the latest Call of Duty game can now be played for free on both PC and console through Game Pass.

Xbox expands Game Pass library with Call of Duty

After acquiring publisher Activision Blizzard for nearly $70 billion last year, Xbox promised to bring its popular game series to Game Pass. This includes titles like Diablo, World of Warcraft, Crash Bandicoot, and of course, Call of Duty.

Black Ops 6 on the horizon

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to be released soon, but in the meantime, Xbox has made the latest Call of Duty game available to Game Pass players.

Modern Warfare 3 now on Game Pass

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which launched late last year, is now accessible on Xbox Game Pass Standard, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Unfortunately, it is not available on Xbox Game Pass Core.

Changes to Game Pass plans

Xbox recently revamped its Game Pass offerings, introducing Xbox Game Pass Standard which does not include day-one releases. However, this does not impact Modern Warfare 3 as it is almost a year old. The new Standard plan now includes online console multiplayer, eliminating the need for an additional subscription.

Despite the positive additions, all Game Pass tiers have experienced a price increase, so subscribers will need to adjust to the new pricing structure.
