XBOX has confirmed a huge price increase coming to fans.
It affects a number of Xbox products and fans have just two weeks to take advantage of the lower prices.
Xbox Game Pass is one of Xbox’s best offers.
This decision follows a change in March which removed the £1 ($1) Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offer for new customers.
In October 2022, head of Xbox Phil Spencer confirmed that we would likely see a price increase for Xbox this year.
He said: “We have to look at the return on our business, the cost of the business.
“We’ve held [the] price on our console, we’ve held [the] price on games for us and our subscription.
“I don’t think we’ll be able to do that forever.”
As reported by The Verge, the price of both Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate will rise from July 6, 2023.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will see the price increase from £10.99 ($14.99) to £12.99 ($16.99) per month.
Game Pass for consoles will also increase in price, from £7.99 ($9.99) to £8.99 ($10.99) per month.
Luckily for PC players, the cost of Game Pass for PC won’t increase.
However, the biggest shock for Xbox players is the increase in price for the Xbox Series X.
While the Xbox Series S won’t see a price increase, those hoping to upgrade to the more powerful Series X should do so soon.
There isn’t much time left before the price increases making the Series X upgrade less value for money.
On August 1, 2023, the Xbox Series X will see an increase from £449.99 to £479.99 in the UK.
Much like the price rise of the PS5 in August last year, this increase won’t affect gamers in the US.
