Ubisoft Shuts Down XDefiant Game and Offers Refunds

Game Closure Announcement

Ubisoft has made the decision to shut down XDefiant, one of its major releases of the year, just six months after its launch. The in-game store has been disabled, and the game has been removed from stores.

Play Until June, Get Refunds

Players who logged in before December 3 will still be able to play XDefiant until June 3. Additionally, those who made purchases after November 3 are eligible for refunds.

Refund Details

Purchases made after November 3, including XCoins and certain DLC packs, will be refunded by the end of January. However, any purchases made before this date will not be eligible for refunds.

Industry Trend

The closure of XDefiant follows a trend in the gaming industry where live-service games are launched but quickly disappear. Unfortunately, XDefiant is not the only game in 2024 to experience this fate.
