RESIDENT Evil 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, but players are still waiting for the fan-favourite Mercenaries update.
The popular GameCube title is considered the best in the Resident Evil series, and has been remade for modern consoles.
Resident Evil 4 is out now.
Players are already praising the changes made to the classic game, and more action is still to come.
Capcom announced that a free mode update would be coming to the game called The Mercenaries.
While we have known the release date of Resident Evil 4 for a while, the new mode had no set launch date.
The Mercenaries will be released as free DLC on April 7, 2023, for all platforms.
The mode was included in the original game, and was unlocked after you finished the main story.
The Mercenaries gives players waves of enemies to defeat in a limited time.
Players can then complete combos to maximise their score, and collect pick ups to extend the timer.
The mode included additional characters to unlock, each with their own unique weapon loadout.
If you managed to complete The Mercenaries with a five-star rank, you could then unlock the Handcannon for the main story.
It’s not clear if the new mode in the remake will be the same, but we are expecting it to have the same base.
Hopefully, there will be additional features like in the rest of the game.
