Is the PS5 Pro Worth the Hype?
The PS5 Pro is making waves with its high asking price of £700/$700, excluding the disc drive and stand that used to be included.
When you factor in the cost of these essential accessories, you're looking at a total of £825/$810 to enjoy your favorite PS5 games.
However, the PS5 Pro boasts double the storage of the original console and combines the graphics fidelity mode with the performance mode's frame rate.
For gamers who prioritize visuals and feel the standard PS5 falls short, the higher price might be justified.
Enhanced Games and Limited Selection
Currently, only twelve popular games are confirmed to receive PS5 Pro enhancements, with more promised in the future.
Despite the quality of titles on the list, the limited selection may not justify the significant price increase over the standard PS5.
At £350/$310 more than the original PS5 launch price, you could purchase a Nintendo Switch or Xbox Series S with games for the same amount.
However, if PlayStation is your go-to platform and you prioritize smooth gameplay and top-notch graphics, the PS5 Pro could be a worthy investment.

*Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be released shortly after the PS5 Pro launch on November 6.
Game Boost Feature
In addition to enhanced games, the PS5 Pro offers a Game Boost feature, similar to the PS4 Pro, to improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games.
Sony claims that over 8,500 PS4 games could benefit from the PS5 Pro Game Boost, with enhanced image quality and improved resolution.
