JUST before Pokémon Go goes full steam ahead with Halloween themed events, there’s one more week of light ahead.
Find out what’s in store for Pokémon Go from October 10 to 16 below.
Morelull and Shiinotic enter Pokémon Go
Haunter shines in Spotlight Hour
Next week’s Spotlight Hour will take place between 6 and 7pm on Tuesday, October 11, where Haunter takes centre stage.
Unfortunately, the shiny version of Haunter will not be available at this event.
However, Haunter is a strong choice for Pokémon Go’s Evolution Cup, while the final evolution, Gengar, is great in all types of play.
As a bonus to the event, Stardust rewards for catching Pokémon are doubled.
Xerneas enters the Raid den
For the first time ever there will be a chance to catch shiny Xerneas during next week’s five-star raids.
Raid Hour will take place on Wednesday, October 12, from 6 to 7pm local time.
During this hour, all gyms will turn into Xerneas raids to give you the best chance of nabbing this rare shiny.
Three leagues available in Go Battle League
Starting Thursday, October 13 at 9pm UK time the leagues available in Go Battle League will change.
Evolution Cup is out and the two other standard formats, Great League and Ultra League will appear on rotation.
Master League will continue on, giving you three different leagues to choose from next week.
The Festival of Light finally begins
From Friday, October 14, at 10am local time the Festival of Light will finally begin.
Morelull and Shiinotic will enter the game for the first time, and can appear in the wild or as research rewards.
The event will increase the shiny odds of Chinchou, giving you a better chance than usual to catch this variation.
Look out for Litwick on Community Day
Next week’s Community Day lands on Saturday, October 15, from 2 to 5pm local time.
Litwick is the Pokémon of the day, and has the chance to have a new Charged Attack, Poltergeist.
Chandelure will be able to learn it as part of the event to deal big ghost-type damage.
Litwick’s shiny rate will be dramatically boosted, so this is your best chance to find one.
More information about what’s happening next week in Pokémon Go can be found on the official website.
