POKÉMON Go will be adding an extra event to make up for a previous game error.
Taking place on July 9, many people encountered issues trying to play the recent Pokémon Go Community Day.
Squirtle will be making a comeback this week.
Featuring fan-favourite Squirtle, anyone who logged in using Trainer Club was unable to take part in the event.
While others could log in via separate methods, such as Google, players had to be signed in to add a new login method.
This means that anyone who only has a Trainer Club account was unable to participate in Squirtle’s Community Day.
Developer Niantic has now issued a statement apologising for the issues, and offering another day of the event.
The post reads: “Due to the log-in issues experienced by those using Pokémon Trainer Club accounts during Community Day Classic: Squirtle on July 9, we’re holding a special global makeup event for all Trainers on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
“Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your continued passion for Pokémon Go!”
As the post says, everyone will be able to take part in the extra event day, even those who were not troubled by log in issues.
More Squirtle will appear between 2pm and 5pm local time on Sunday.
Those who catch enough Squirtle to evolve one into Blastoise during this time will also be rewarded with a special Charged Attack.
Blastoise that are evolved before 7pm on that day, will come with the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.
There will also be a special costumed Squirtle that can appear during the event.
Squirtle with sunglasses will appear more rarely than the regular Squirtle during the event.
Players hope that all issues have been addressed and that they will be able to catch their Squirtle during this time.
