Pokémon fans can now unlock a rare 'mon via Mystery Gift in latest collaboration

Every so often, The Pokémon Company launches new campaigns where players can acquire new 'mons. In the latest collaboration, owners of Scarlet or Violet can access a range of free Pokémon and items through Mystery Gift.

In this special event, Scarlet and Violet are teaming up with the anime to introduce a new starter Pokémon, Roy’s Fuecoco. Players can now claim Roy’s Fuecoco via Mystery Gift, a unique opportunity as players usually have to choose between Sprigatitio, Quaxly, and Fuecoco at the beginning of the game.

What to expect from Roy’s Fuecoco

Roy’s Fuecoco is level 5 and comes with the moves Tackle and Ember. Described as having "Pretty Good" stats across the board, with a "Fantastic" HP stat, it also boasts the Blaze ability, a Fire Tera type, and a Hardy nature. Its origin is listed as "the Pokémon animated show", and it sports two ribbons, honoring both Fuecoco the Pokémon fan and Roy’s Fuecoco.

Claiming Roy’s Fuecoco

To get your hands on Roy’s Fuecoco, head to the Poké Portal in the main menu, select Mystery Gift, and choose "Get via code/password." Enter the code 909TEAMUP06 to receive Roy’s Fuecoco in your game. You can then find it in your team if there's space, or in your boxes.
