Because of how closely people follow these accounts, a post is bound to be seen by someone even if it’s only up for a few seconds. This is exactly what happened when PlayStation accidentally posted the release date for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead on Twitter.

Twitter buzz and confirmation

The tweet read: "A Quiet Place: A Road Ahead creeps onto PS5 October 17." Alongside this sentence, there was a short six-second teaser video for the game. It was deleted after only a few minutes, but people had already screenshotted and shared it. The release date has since been confirmed by the publisher alongside pricing and platforms. Twitter users pointed out that it’s "just in time for Halloween" claiming they "can’t wait."

Game details and platforms

There has been a lot of speculation about the length of the game, due to it appearing at a low price point on some online storefronts. It appeared for just $29.99 on US Amazon and the price has now been confirmed as $29.99/£24.99. A Quiet Place is a stealth-based single-player game, meaning it is more likely to be a shorter game. While PlayStation leaked the release date, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will also be released on Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
