Just months after the release of the PS5, Sony has left fans buzzing with excitement by showcasing three stunning new colors for the console at the CES show in Las Vegas.
Colors that Capture the Imagination
The three mesmerizing metallic colors spotted at CES include Cobalt Blue, Sterling Silver, and Volcanic Red. These colors were previously revealed for the original PS5 model as part of PlayStation's Deep Earth Collection.
Slim and Sleek
The PS5 Slim, released in November, boasts a 30% smaller size and reduced weight compared to the original models. Sony has managed to bring down the weight by 18% and 24% respectively.
Matching Controllers
Not only will the new PS5 Slim come in these captivating colors, but matching controller colors will also be available. This attention to detail is sure to please PlayStation enthusiasts.
Release Date and Pricing
Sony has yet to announce a release date for the new PS5 Slim covers. Additionally, the price of these covers remains unknown. Currently, the PlayStation online store only offers covers for the original Disc version and Digital version of the PS5, priced at £49.99 / $54.99.
Inspired by the Depths of Planet Earth
Designer Satoshi Aoyagi explained the inspiration behind the Deep Earth Collection, saying, "While crafting this new collection of DualSense controller and PS5 console cover colors, we drew inspiration from the beautiful and powerful hues found in the depths of planet Earth. We elevated the colors by adding a metallic finish for a touch of sophistication."
